What are the requirements for enrolling in the Thermalist® Method Certification program?
+
The Thermalist® Method Certification is for aspiring instructors who want to offer the Thermalist Method Workshops for customers/clients at their business. You are supportive of the Thermalist Method Instructor community and want to be part of it. All participants are required to have completed a first-aid course and renew it every second year. Instructors need to accept the Thermalist branding guideline and license agreement.
How long does it typically take to complete the program?
+
The course is self-paced, so the duration can vary based on individual learning speed. However, you have 3 months with 6 online teaching classes with our medical team. We'll go through the modules, discuss cases and answer your questions. The program takes 3 months. After this, you'll be ready to attend the physical workshop where you will pass the test and get your certification to offer Thermalist Method Workshops.
Is this program suitable for beginners or individuals new to thermal therapy practices?
+
Yes, the education is suitable for beginners who want to start having customers. We would rather train you from the beginning, than having you try on your own and potentially make mistakes and create bad habits that you might pass on to customers/clients. The program provides comprehensive safety and physiology training that covers the fundamentals, making it accessible to those new to thermal therapy practices.
Will I receive a certification upon completion of the instructor education?
+
Yes, successful completion of the full program will earn you a certification as a qualified Thermalist Method Instructor.
Are there ongoing support or resources available after finishing the program?
+
Yes, you have access to us, but also a community of fellow instructors where you share and support each other in your work with the Thermalist Method. After you have performed your first workshops, we'll have a follow-up call. After year 1, there will be options of getting more education for stage 2 and 3, with more workshop offers.
What kind of teaching materials or resources are provided during the education?
+
The education includes a comprehensive curriculum, instructional videos, study materials, and practical exercises to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to offer the Thermalist Method. You get our e-book, the Thermalist Method guidelines, a follow-up call after your first workshops, and guidance online.
Is the program online, and is it self-paced?
+
Yes. You’ll get access to the online video content (+18 hours) for 3 months, which is plenty of time to do a deep dive and allows you to study and complete assignments according to your schedule and preferences. During this period, you have 6 online teaching classes with us.
Can I participate in a physical workshop to train with Dr. Søberg and other fellow instructors?
+

Thermalist Instructor Retreat. A full weekend of hands-on training with
Dr. Susanna Søberg and fellow instructors.
Expect a blend of theory, guided practice, safety drills and peer feedback to refine your facilitation skills and deepen your network.
